The Salix is the generic name for a willow tree. When Mari bought the cafe in July 2015, she had to leave the family’s 25 year old, much loved, weeping pussy willow behind. In the years Mari had it, it was a den for her four children to play and have picnics under its beautiful twisted branches.
We will be open everyday from Boxing Day until January 3rd 9am-3pm. Closed on Sunday January 4th 2026. From then we will return to Thursday to Sundays opening. Please remember we are weather dependant. This means we are open from 9am but may close early on the days the weather closes in.
